The 16 Best Breweries In Atlanta
Round Trip wants to take your palate on a journey to experience German-inspired beers with a draft lineup, pouring marzens, helles, hefeweizens, berliner weisses, and Munich-style dark lagers. Open since 2021 on the Upper Westside, the brewery has weekly events like Dirty South Trivia and Speed Puzzle night. Lagers can be just as exciting and complex as ales, and Round Trip does a stellar job making that case for the ATL.

Such a good brewery! They have great outdoor beer garden, staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and most of all - beer was so good!
Drove out 20 minutes to check out Round Trip to find out they're closed to the public on the day we visited. Nothing posted on their website or elsewhere online about this. Everything online stated they were open for regular business. That's 40 minutes of our round trip wasted.
We came today for a group event. Very chill. No reservation needed. We got a picnic table for our group easily at 12 pm. Dogs were allowed inside and besides my dog there were plenty of other dogs there. They had dog water bowls. Everyone liked their beers. We liked they have non alcoholic slushy lemonade drinks as well. Staff was nice too.
The beef and chicken empanadas were good at the Calle Latina food stall. I had the Theresa's Meadow and the Dunkel Platz and both beers were good, but the Platz was my favorite.
The beef and chicken empanadas. Theresa's Meadow and the Dunkel Platz.
Came here over the weekend and this place was very empty on a Friday night which was surprising. Great atmosphere and great beer, customer service was unmatched and very friendly.
Great night for a beer
Solid brewery in Atlanta that you'll want to put on your list! We arrived right after they opened so it wasn't super busy. They specialize in German style beer and the bartender was helpful with picking out several beers for us to try. They had plenty of seating with outside areas, a lounge/game area, bar seating, and a whole back room with ping pong and tvs with a second smaller tap area. The beer itself was excellent and they had a good variety. Definitely recommend if you have a knack for German style beer. They didn't have in-house food, but there was a pop up there so you can snack while you booze! Overall great beer and atmosphere, we will definitely be coming back.

There's a pretty good playground outside for kids and a good selection of board games. Usually there's a food-truck-like option that's greasy but good. They take pride in their beer selection and are happy to explain them to you (without being pretentious). There are some great beer/food breweries in Atlanta so I went 4 stars for this one, but in plenty of cities this would be a 5!
For my birthday I wanted to meet up with a few friends at a brewery. I found Round Trip Brewery through my search and it's in great location west side area. It is tucked in, behind and close by Johnnys New York Style Pizza. Plenty of parking and great outdoor. There's a playground for kids. Once inside lots of family style seating and nooks for board games or to watch sports. It's quaint and clean and rustic. Loved it. Customer services was on point and super hospitable which I believe many establishments have lost, so I appreciated that. It was evident that this place was developed and built around family. Areas of families to play board games, outdoor seating with playground. And family style seating (picnic tables). The beer menu had variety with IPA, pilsner, lager, etc. and not just focused on IPAs which again as a non-IPA drinker, I love. For my birthday, the first beer was on them. I tried their Pilsner and lager. I loved both. Tasty, light and crisp. Perfect combination. Everyone enjoyed their time at Round Trip. It was fun, spacious, clean and super welcoming. This is officially my new watering hole.
I'm not a beer drinker, which is the only reason I cannot give 5 stars -- I can't speak to the core business: the beer. What I can rate is the music bingo nights they have. I've been twice now and it's loads of fun! It starts on time, is organized, and just good fun energy! I recommend this for anyone who enjoys trivia or like games. The staff is great. I believe it's female owned as well.
So sad to see what's happening to this bar. We made a trip there for a Kolach and they were out of this, one of their signature German beers. However, we only found this out after wading through a bunch of little tweens acting wildly with no parent trying to control them. Don't think we'll be back.

Thank you for taking the time to leave this review and letting us know you are disappointed in your experience. I'd like to point out a couple discrepancies: 1. We are a brewery and not a bakery so we do not sell Kolach. We have a Kolsch which we ran out of at our East Cobb location around the time of this review, which is a super common thing to happen at a brewery with limited brewing capacity and high demand. 2. If it's the case you were at our East Cobb location where we ran out of the kolsch, you have reviewed the wrong location. This review you left is for our West Midtown location. 3. We welcome people of all stripes, including families with children, to visit our taprooms. It is the parents responsibility to monitor their kids and our house rules are posted in plain sight for everyone to read. We sell a variety of approachable lagers similar to our Instant Krusch Kolsch. I trust our staff was able to recommend a suitable alternative to the kolsch or point you to our to-go cooler where we sell 6-packs of Instant Krusch kolsch for takeaway. We appreciate you coming in to try our beer. Next time please come directly to us if something is wrong so we can make things right in person.
